First round football playoff match ups set / Regional Volleyball begins Friday / State Swimming opens Thursday

STATE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS - The Tongue River Eagles are the 4th seed and play at #1 seed Cokeville Friday kickoff is at 1:00.

The Big Horn Rams host Lovell Friday night at 6:00 in the first round. The game can be heard live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

The Sheridan Broncs will host Cheyenne Central Friday night in the first round of the playoffs the game is scheduled to start at 6:00. We will be on the air at 5:30 with the First Federal pregame show on 14-10 KWYO.

Broncs Head coach Don Julian says they shook off the disappointment of losing the coin toss Saturday with Gillette and Cheyenne East and are looking forward now to playing Cheyenne Central Friday.

In the regular season game in Sheridan the Broncs beat Central 44-7, Julian says now it's the playoffs and they know Central is a much improved team.

The status for starting running back Evan Coon is up in the air this week after breaking a bone in his wrist but the good news is running back and linebacker Riley Sessions has the cast off his wrist and should be ready to roll full speed this week.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys have a road trip to Fresno state Saturday night broadcast time will be at 7:30 kickoff is at 8:30 on KWYO.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos play at New England Sunday you can hear that game live on KWYO, Bronco pregame at 12:05 kickoff is at 2:25.

VOLLEYBALL - High school regional volleyball tournaments start Friday the 4-A East will be in Sheridan and the 2-A East will be in Torrington.

The Lady Broncs open Friday afternoon at 1:00 against Laramie, in Torrington Tongue River plays Burns at 9:00 am followed by Big Horn and Pine Bluffs at 11:00.

The Lady Generals volleyball team plays Laramie county Thursday night at 7:00 out at the Hoffman dome.

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams open their season this week hosting a tournament at the Hoffman dome Friday and Saturday.

STATE SWIMMING - The Sheridan Lady Bronc swimmers will be in Gillette Thursday for the start of their state meet.
