High School winter sports on Hiatus / Wyoming Cowboys at Montana state tomorrow night

WINTER SPORTS - The Christmas holiday break has begun the next live winter sports action will take place January 2nd and 3rd with the Sheridan Broncs hosting some duals and the border war dual event with the big three school in Billings.

The Sheridan high school indoor track season opens Monday January 5th with the first meet scheduled for the 16th in Spearfish, South Dakota.

Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says indoor track participation in Wyoming has exploded over the years and as for as numbers it's the biggest single sport at Sheridan high school.

And looking ahead to 2015 Julian says numbers are very good across the board for all winter athletics.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams will play at a three day tournament in Cheyenne January 8th, 9th and 10th we will broadcast all six games live on KWYO.

TR / BH HOOPS - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles will open the new year January 3rd with games against Rocky Mountain then join Big Horn hosting another three day tournament January 8th, 9th and 10th.

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams will get one more game before opening up Wyoming conference play both teams play Monday January 5th at home.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers host duals with Cheyenne East, Riverton and Star Valley January 2nd and then host the Border war duals Saturday the 3rd with the Wyoming teams taking on Billings Senior, West and Skyview.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers will see their first home action of the season January 9th and 10th and they host a mini invitational on the 9th and the big Sheridan invitational on the 10th.

HOCKEY - The Sheridan Hawks Hockey team will open the new year on the road with games at Casper January 10th and 11th.

UW HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowboys play tonight at Montana state you can hear it live on 14-10 KWYO broadcast time is 6:30 with the tip at 7:00 they will open conference play on the 31st at home with UNLV.

The Cowgirls are off until the 31st when they open conference play at UNLV.
