Johnson County Weekend Sports Report

Buffalo and Kaycee High Schools' athletes had a busy weekend with all fall teams in action.

In football, the Buffalo Bison traveled to Cody to take on the #3-ranked Broncs and fell to them 45-20.

In 6-man, Kaycee's Buckaroos took on Ten Sleep and blanked the Pioneers 45-0.

In volleyball, the Buffalo Lady Bison were in Billings, Montana for the Wyoming/Montana Border Wars Tournament.
They beat Glendive, Montana 2-1; fell to Billings Central 2-1; and beat Laurel, Montana 2-1. In bracket play, the Lady Bison lost to Hardin, Montana 2-0 sending them to the Consolation round. They beat Glendive 2-0, Sidney, Montana 2-1 and finally Miles City, Montana 2-1 to finish in 9th place for the Tournament.

The Kaycee Lady Bucs played Hulett and Ten Sleep this weekend but scores were not yet available.

In golf, the Buffalo Bison held their Invitational Tournament this weekend at the Buffalo Golf Club.
For the boys' team, the top three finishers were Pake Nimick with a 5th place 168, Tyler Shreve with a 10th place 176 and Taylor Hepp with a 12th place 178. The team finished third behind Sheridan and Campbell County High Schools.
The girls top three were Hannah Pfister with a 5th place 193, Sadie Gruntmier with a 6th place 194, and Abby Diefenderfer with an 11th place 214. The girls team finished second behind Cody.
