Lady Bronc hoops 3rd at state / Pokes get post season bid / Cowgirls play waiting game

LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Lady Broncs finished 3rd at the state tournament with a 70-62 victory over Gillette, the Lady Broncs took three out of four games this season from the Camels.

They bounced back after a heart breaking 46-43 semi final loss against Natrona county to win the third place game.

Head coach Jessica Pickett says it was good to see them play well after a tough loss the night before.

Robbi Ryan led the way with 19 points ,7 rebounds and 5 steals in three games Ryan averaged 18 points per game.

Also in the win Saturday they got big games from Dylan Wright with 11 points and 13 rebounds, Jennae Fieldgrove had 12 points and 7 rebounds and Allison Geary chipped in with 11 points and 6 boards.

And overall Pickett says they had a lot of big moments during the season.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys received a bid into the CBI post season tournament for the third straight year they open play Wednesday night at Texas A&M.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls play the waiting game the Women's NCAA and NIT selections will take place tonight.

The cowgirls season ended their season in the MWC semi finals with a triple overtime loss against Colorado state.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SPRING SPORTS - The Sheridan high school track teams will open their season Saturday at an invitational meet in Casper.

The Lady Bronc soccer team will open their season at home Friday hosting Riverton the JV's go at 4:00 the varsity at 6:00

The Bronc soccer team will play at Riverton Friday and join the Lady Broncs playing at a jamboree in Casper Saturday.

Sheridan high school will host the annual spring sports parent meeting at 6:30 tonight in the SHS auditorium. All parents of spring sports athletes are asked to attend.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - Sheridan American Legion baseball will hold their preseason player / parent meeting Wednesday night at 6:00 pm in the Sheridan high school cafeteria. All Troopers / Jets players and their parents are asked to attend.
