Lady Rams Repeat as 2-A State Track Champs / Broncs take 4-A Regional Soccer Title / Troopers Sweep the Weekend / Rockies at Bucs Today

STATE TRACK AND FIELD - The Big Horn Lady Rams won the 2-A state track and field title for the second straight year and did it dominating fashion led by Bailey Bard who won three events.

Bard swept the sprints winning the 100 and 200 meters and added a title in the 300 meter hurdles, Cassidy Enloe took the long jump and triple jump titles and the Lady Rams also won the 4x100 meter relay title.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles finish 9th overall with LeeAnna Mitchell winning 400 meters.

The Big Horn Rams finished 4th overall and Tongue River was 17th.

The Sheridan Lady Broncs finished 3rd overall with Riley Rafferty winning the 400 meter state title she was 2nd at 100 meters and 3rd at 200 meters the Lady Bronc 4x800 meter relay also took the state title team members were Jankika Sweeney, Josie Fettig, Xiomara Robinson and Pippin Robison.

The Broncs finished 10th overall

BRONC SOCCER - The 4-A East regional soccer tournament championship went to the Broncs beat Gillette for the title Saturday shutting them out 2-0 the Broncs will open the state tournament Thursday against Natrona county at 4:30 at the Big Horn Equestrian center.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers took all three games over the weekend winning at the Billings Halos Saturday 7-2 before a storm washed out the second game, Sunday they swept RC #320 11-1 in the first game and took game two

The Troops looked very good Sunday and Head coach Ben Phillips says the hard work in the preseason and a little experience are paying off right now.

Quinton Brooks had a nice outing in the first game on the mound and the defense was solid behind him.

And the whole weekend the Troopers really hit the ball hard. This week they will start play Friday at a tournament in Gillette.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets are off until they host back to back double headers June 4th and 5th.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies were rained out at Pittsburgh yesterday they make it up today we will have it live for you on 87.7 FM ESPN radio pregame starts at 10:05 with the first pitch at 10:35.
