Local golf / UW Athletics visits Sheridan / Lady Bronc soccer hosts #1 Laramie toinight

KENDRICK GOLF COURSE - We made a visit to Kendrick golf course yesterday and had a sit down with Golf Professional Brian James.

The course was empty yesterday with the temperature in the mid 30's but James is getting ready for the weather to change and says the course will start the season in good shape once the cold and snow moves out.

UW ATHLETICS - University of Wyoming Athletic Director Tom Burman and some UW coaches were in Sheridan last night making a visit with members of Cowboy Nation.

Burman says it's their off season tradition after the winter to get out around the state and get some face time with the fans.

One of the coaches in the entourage was new Cowboy basketball coach Allen Edwards, Burman says it was great for UW to find a new head coach from within the current program.

Our next topic was challenges UW athletics faces over the next year and state budget cuts and Cowboy football are top priorities.

SHS SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams open the second round of conference play today with games against Laramie tomorrow it's Cheyenne South.

Because of the poor weather outlook for the weekend the Broncs will play Laramie and Cheyenne South at the University of Wyoming indoor practice facility game times will be 3:00 this afternoon with Laramie and tomorrow morning at 9:00 against Cheyenne South.

The Lady Broncs host Laramie varsity game time is at 6:00 tonight games tomorrow morning with South will be played at Big Horn high school at 8:00 and 10:00.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies game with Pittsburgh yesterday was rained out.

The Rox open a weekend series this evening at Arizona we will have the game live for you on 87.7 FM broadcast time is at 7:00.
