Local Weekend Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Broncs split games losing at Billings Skyview 75-63 Friday they came back to beat Natrona county 55-44 Saturday.

NC jumped all over the Broncs and had a 12-0 lead to start the game but the Broncs stayed the course and got within four at halftime and then took control of the game in the second half, Head coach Jeff Martini. Senior Coy Steel lead the Broncs with 19 points.

They are now done with non-conference play and Martini says the first 11 games were all for preparing for the next ten.

They open conference play with the Lady Broncs at Cheyenne South Friday and Laramie Saturday.

The Lady Broncs dropped both games over the weekend 47-40 against Skyview and 65-42 at Natrona.

TR HOOPS - The Tongue River basketball Eagles swept their weekend games with victories over Greybull and Riverside the Lady Eagles beat Riverside at home Saturday. They will host games with Wright Friday and play at Big Horn Saturday,

BH HOOPS - The Big Horn Rams dropped their home game with Rocky Mountain Friday then went over to Greybull Saturday and picked up a 59-48 victory the Lady Rams swept their weekend games. They will play at Sundance Friday and host games with TR Saturday.

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals hosted games with Casper college Saturday the Lady Generals lost 64-50 the Generals lost 61-57.

Both teams have road games at Miles City, Montana Wednesday night and will be at home Saturday against Little Big Horn CC.

COWBOY HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowboys dropped their first game at home Saturday losing 89-74 against Nevada the Pokes play at San Jose state Wednesday night you can hear that game live on KWYO starting at 7:30.

COWGIRL HOOPS - The Cowgirls keep on winning they beat Nevada 72-59 they will play at 6:00 against San Jose live on 87.7 FM.

SWIMMING / DIVING - The Bronc swimmers and divers finished 8th at the Cheyenne South invitational they will be compete at Casper Kelly Walsh Saturday the meet will have five teams competing.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers finished 21st at the Cowboy invitational tournament in Miles City, Montana this week on Thursday the Broncs will have duals in Casper with KW and NC.

INDOOR TRACK - The Sheridan high school indoor track teams will have their next meet Saturday in Gillette.
