SC Rodeo at the CNFR / Troopers Play at Home Tonight / Rockies at D-Backs

SHERIDAN COLLEGE RODEO - Generals Bareback rider Chance Ames won the 2019 College National Finals Rodeo championship and his teammate Coby Johnson finished 3rd in the Bull riding. They combined for 570 points and a 4th place team finish for Sheridan college.

Sheridan college Rodeo coach Marc Gilkerson says the thrill of Saturday night was still fresh Monday.

On the other side Coby Johnson had a tough run in the finals.

And no rest as both will be out hitting rodeos all summer.

And finally today Gilkerson says these results help so much in recruiting athletes to the Sheridan college program.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan troopers play at home this evening when they host a single nine inning game with Dickinson, North Dakota first pitch is at 5:00, tomorrow they will play a team from Billings in another nine inning game at 3:00.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies open a road trip tonight at Arizona you can hear it live on Fox Sports radio 87.7 FM Rockies on Deck starts at 7:00.

NATIONAL TRAIL DAY - The Black Mountain Nordic Club will host a work day on National trails work day Saturday they are doing this in partnership with the US Forest Service.

They will be going to the Cutler trails to clear brush they will meet at 9 am Saturday at the Forest Service office on Eastridge road and car pool up all volunteers are asked to bring work gloves and lunch.
