Sheridan Troopers right on schedule to open spring training officially Monday / Local track, soccer, tennis and golf spring season resume on the weekend

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers and Jets baseball teams open spring training Monday, yesterday we stopped by their indoor training facility Head coach Ben Phillips says they are way ahead of schedule especially with the pitching staff.

And he says the batting and fielding ground balls and fly balls will come over the next month.

And with a winter storm coming in it shows how valuable the indoor facility is for their preseason prep.

The Jets open their season with a home and home double header with the Billings Halos April 16th and 17th the Troopers will open at home April 30th against Rapid City Post 22.

The Sheridan high school soccer teams resume their schedule at a two day jamboree in Casper Friday and Saturday with games against Casper Kelly Walsh, Evanston and Natrona county.

April 8th and 9th conference play begins with the Broncs hosting Cheyenne South and Laramie the Lady Broncs will play at the Bison and Plainsmen.

TRACK / FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams head to their next competition will be at the "Jerry Campbell" invitational in Buffalo Saturday.

TENNIS / GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc spring tennis season began practice yesterday, spring golf season will open with practice next week.

The shortened spring tennis season begins in Cody April 9th, spring golf opens with a tournament in Buffalo April 8th.

ROCKIES - The Colorado Rockies open the Major league baseball season a week Monday at Arizona, our first live broadcast will start at 7:00 all Rockies baseball games can be hear live this season on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.
