After splitting two with Casper the Sheridan Troopers play the next six on the road

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers split last night's double header with the Casper Oilers. The Oilers took game one 12-5 head coach Ben Phillips says

They came back to win the late game 9-5 behind the starting pitching of game winner Ben Buckingham Phillips says the difference was the Troops playing a cleaner game.

The Troops play their next six on the road and have a busy month coming up as they prepare for the post season and state tournament.

They start their six game road trip tonight with a Double header in Sturgis, South Dakota a team they haven't seem in a couple of years but they expect a good challenge.

Following tonight's games they head to Cody and Riverton before returning home on July 7th to host Sturgis.

SHERIDAN JETS - The Sheridan Jets will host a double header at Thorne-Rider tomorrow night against Cody the first game will start at 5:00.

BIG HORN POLO - Along with hosting the big 4th of July fireworks display Sunday the Big Horn Equestrian Center will host two Polo matches Saturday.

The Big Horn Polo Club will play on Saturday this week breaking from their schedule of Sunday matches. They play the Moncrieffe Cup Saturday and 1:00 and the D.A. Davidson cup at 3:00. admission is free.

SHS BOOSTER CLUB GOLF - The Sheridan high school booster club will host a golf tournament fund raising event next month at the Powder Horn. The four person team event is scheduled for Saturday July 30.

The tournament will shot gun start at 9:00 am. Along with the golf they will have a dinner and some auction items for more information and to enter a team contact the Powder Horn Pro shop.

The Powder Horn will also host two big tournament's in July the first will be the “Chris LeDoux” memorial foundation tournament July 11th and the annual Summer Hummer their largest vent of the summer, the three day Hummer starts July 21st.

MLB - The Colorado Rockies beat San Diego for the 2nd straight game last night winning 6-3, they conclude that series this afternoon before returning to Coors field for a four game home stand with the San Francisco Giants which starts tomorrow night.
