SRD Adult Basketball Leagues set to Begin Play / SCHoops Drop Games in Gillette / Cowboys and Cowgirls Beat Nevada

SRD - We have more today from the Sheridan Recreation District, Colton Thompson is the Rec district's Adult sports specialist and he has a couple of basketball leagues that will start play in February the first is a co-rec basketball league.

They will also be opening up a Women's basketball league next month.

Also in February they have a tumbling program for kids that will run for a month.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams play at Cheyenne East and Central this week game times tomorrow at East are at 6:00 and 7:30, Saturday's games at Central are at noon at 1:30 all four games can be heard live on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

BH HOOPS - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams play at home tomorrow against Wright and travel to Upton Saturday.

TR HOOPS - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles play at Moorcroft tomorrow and host Sundance Saturday.

A/C HOOPS - The Arvada / Clearmont teams play at Kaycee tomorrow and host Ten Sleep Saturday afternoon.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams both dropped games at Gillette Wednesday night the Women's game went 4 OT's with Gillette winning 92-91.

Up next both teams host games with Casper college Saturday game times are 3:00 and 5:00.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys beat the Nevada Wolfpack in double overtime last night 104-103 was the final they play San Jose state Saturday.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Cowgirls won at Nevada last night 65-62 they host San Jose state Saturday.

SWIMMING - The Sheridan Bronc swimmers get back into action at home tomorrow hosting a meet with Cody, Worland and Casper Kelly Walsh then it's over to Gillette for a big invitational Saturday.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers compete at the big "Ron Thon" invitational in Riverton matches start tomorrow.

YOUTH TENNIS - The Sheridan tennis association will be hosting and indoor youth program in February and March.

The program is open to all kids ages 6-12 and will have two sessions the first will run February 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th the second session will be March the 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th at the indoor courts in Thorne-Rider park.

The fee is 40 dollars per session, each session is limited to 12 players. Bob Faurot will be leading the clinics to sign up please contact Bob at 751-5819.
