State 2-A / 4-A East regional hoops open Thursday / Cowgirls fall at San Jose state / Pokes host Spartans tonight

2-A STATE BASKETBALL BIG HORN / TONGUE RIVER - The Big Horn Rams and Tongue River Eagles open to the basketball state championships tomorrow in Casper, the Rams will play Wyoming Indian the Eagles will take on Wind River.

Both games will be played at Casper college, the Rams play at noon the Eagles follow at 1:30 both games can be hear live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM..

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams start their post season tomorrow at the 4-A East regional tournament in Cheyenne.

Both teams open with Laramie the girls game is scheduled for 7:00 and the boys at 8:30 both game can be heard live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

Lady Broncs Head coach Jessica Pickett the Lady Broncs had a very good regular season.

They play Laramie tomorrow and Pickett says the Lady Broncs will face a very aggressive Plainsmen team.

Broncs Head coach Gale Smith says the last three weeks the Broncs have started to peak towards making it to the state tournament.

And he says the players did a great job of staying the course during the regular season where a lot of things didn't go their way.

and now it's a one game season against Laramie a victory tomorrow means they advance to the state championships.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys host San Jose state in the regular season finale tonight at the Double AA, you can hear it live on KWYO and 87.7 FM broadcast time is 6:30.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Cowgirls finished up the regular season last night at San Jose state the Spartans beat the Cowgirls 65-51.

They finish the season 13-15 overall and 6-12 in Mountain West conference play they open the Mountain West tournament in Las Vegas Monday against a yet to be determined opponent.
