STATE CROSS COUNTRY - The Wyoming state cross country championships ran under sunny skies Saturday in Sheridan.

The Broncs and Lady broncs finished 10th and 11th respectively Head coach Art Bauers the state meet was a great learning experience for the young Sheridan runners.

And he says with the talent coming back the future of both programs looks great.

BRONC FOOTBALL- The Sheridan Broncs whipped Cheyenne South 62-16 to wrap up the two seed for the 4-A playoffs which begin Friday, Head coach Don Julian.

They Host Laramie Friday night in the first round, they met in the first game of the season with the Broncs winning in Laramie and Julian says the Plainsmen have improved.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys lost 51-44 at San Jose state Saturday, the Pokes are idle this week and will play at home against Fresno state November 9th.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos scored 38 unanswered points and beat up Washington in a 45-21 victory Sunday. the Broncos have their bye week and will play their next game at San Diego November 10th.

VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team lost two straight at their regional tournament to close out their season.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles and Big Horn Lady Rams both advanced to the state volleyball championships in Casper. The Lady Rams earned the one seed Tongue River will be a four seed.

The Lady Rams play Wind River Thursday at 2:00 and the Lady Eagles play Kemmerer at 6:30 Thursday night.

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams open their seasons this week. hosting the "Holiday Inn" tournament Friday and Saturday.

There will be four games each day with the Lady Generals playing at 5:00 and the Generals at 7:00.

STATE SWIMMING / DIVING - The Sheridan Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will close out their season this week at the state championships in Gillette, the 4-A meet begins Friday afternoon.
