STATE CROSS COUNTRY - The 2016 Wyoming state cross country championships finished up in Sheridan Saturday afternoon.

The Sheridan county teams finished like this the Tongue River Lady Eagles were 3rd in 2A the TR boys were 5th and the Big Horn Rams were 7th.

The Sheridan Lady Broncs had a pretty good day finishing 5th and the Broncs were 7th.

Sheridan Head coach Art Bauers says the Lady Broncs had a very good result. And he says the Broncs struggled but had a decent day.

HIGH SCHOOL REGIONAL VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team heads to Gillette for their regional tournament they open Friday afternoon against Cheyenne Central at 1:00.

The Big Horn Lady Rams open their regional in Torrington Friday morning at 11:00 against Pine Bluffs

The Tongue River Lady Eagles were eliminated from making the conference tournament through tiebreakers.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football beat Cheyenne South 49-21 friday to end the regular season 8-1, Quarterback Drew Boedecker was injured in the first half and sat out of the rest of the game.

Backup Aaron Woodward came on and lead the Broncs to a dominating second half as they pulled away in the 3rd quarter. Boedecker will be back at the helm this week when the Broncs open the playoffs.

It was a bit of a struggle for the Broncs and Head coach Don Julian says the players did a good job of grabbing the momentum back after halftime.

The Broncs host Cheyenne East Friday night at 6:00 in their first round playoff game, Laramie and Rock Springs play the other game on the Broncs side of the playoff bracket, on the other side Gillette has Cheyenne South and Kelly Walsh hosts Natrona county.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams crushed Wheatland 53-0 the Rams host pinedale Friday night at 6:00.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles dropped their game at Upton / Sundance 32-20 the Eagles host a first round game with Cokeville.

WOLVES FOOTBALL - The NSI Wolves dropped their final game of the season to Kaycee 70-6.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys beat the Nevada Wolfpack in Reno 42-34 Saturday the Cowboys are 5-2 overall and 3-0 in MWC play, they take on Boise state at home Saturday night kickoff is at 5:00.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos play at home tonight against the Houston Texans coverage starts at 4:30 with the Bronco pregame show kickoff is at 6:30 on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

SC SOCCER - The Lady Generals season ended Saturday with a 2-1 overtime loss to Western Wyoming in the Region Nine Quarter finals.
