State Soccer Championships Start Thursday / Troopers at Holiday Tournament in Gillette / Rockies fall at Pittsburgh

STATE SOCCER - The Wyoming state soccer championships open Thursday at the Big Horn Equestrian center. The Sheridan Broncs open the state tournament against Natrona county at 4:30.

The rest of the 4-A boys bracket will have Green River playing Cheyenne Central, Gillette takes on Riverton and Laramie will play Casper Kelly Walsh.

In the girls 4-A bracket the match ups are Rock Springs vs Cheyenne East, Laramie against Casper Kelly Walsh, Natrona county vs Cheyenne Central and Gillette against Evanston.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will spend the memorial day weekend playing at a tournament in Gillette Head coach Ben Phillips says it will be nice to get a five games bunch together that will give the players a chance to get a lot of reps in the field and at the plate. They start play Friday night against Gillette.

The following week they will get right into the meat of their schedule with 10 games in five days from June 4th through the 8th.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets are off until they host back to back double headers June 4th and 5th their opponents will be Lovell and Casper.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost at Pittsburgh Monday with the wrap up here's the Voice of the Rockies Jack Corrigan. You can hear tonight's game live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

2016 HOOP JAM - Next week the annual 3 on 3 Hoop Jam basketball tournament will be played outdoors at Sheridan high school the tournament will be played over two days June 4th and 5th.
