Three Sheridan High School Athletes Sign to Compete in College / Pokes fall Against Fresno / Broncos Drop Sixth Straight

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming football Cowboys lost a hard fought 13-7 decision against Fresno state Saturday here's head coach Craig Bohl.

The Cowboys are 7-4 overall and close out the regular season Saturday afternoon at San Jose state you can hear it live on KWYO and 106.9 FM Cowboy pregame starts at 2:00 with kickoff at 3:00.

BRONCO FOOTBALL The Denver Broncos lost 20-17 to Cincinnati Sunday that's six straight losses they haven't won since beating Oakland October 1st after the game Head coach Vance Joseph said the Broncos are not very good right now.

A little controversy got started before the game as Broncos General Manager John Elway blasted the players for being soft and Joseph had this to say.

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college Lady Generals are 1-4 overall the Generals are 6-1 after weekend games at the Hoffman dome the Generals swept Northeastern Colorado and Bismarck, North Dakota.

This week both are the host teams for the annual Sheridan Lions club tournament with games all day Friday and Saturday.

The Generals will host a single game Wednesday night against Lake Region CC from North Dakota.

COWBOY HOOPS - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys are 2-0 they open play today at a tournament in the Cayman Islands the first game will be against South Dakota state at noon you can hear all three games on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

COWGIRL HOOPS - The Cowgirls are 3-0 coming off a 61-51 win over Denver they play their next home game on tomorrow against Drake University.

COLLEGE SIGNINGS - Three Sheridan high school students have signed Division One letters of intent to compete in college athletics, Bronc golfer Kirby-Coe-Kirkham has committed to the University of Wyoming as did Lady Bronc swimmer Molly Green and Kelly Moodry committed to compete in track and field at Boise state.

HIGH SCHOOL WINTER SPORTS - The 2017 high school winter sports season starts a week from today with practice for basketball, wrestling and Bronc swimming competition starts Thursday, December 7th.

The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams will open at a three day tournament in Casper December 7th.

The Bronc wrestlers will open in Worland December 7th, the Bronc swimmers open in Gillette December 8th and 9th.

The Big Horn basketball teams open with tournament play the Lady Rams will be in Glenrock and the Rams will play in Wright December 8th and 9th,

The Tongue River basketball teams open at home against Rocky Mountain December 8th then road games at Lovell on the 9th.
