WOMEN'S GOLF - The Trans-national golf tournament came to a close at the Powder Horn Sunday evening with Julie Yang of Mesa, Arizona defeating Alex Stewart of Carson City, Nevada 1-up in the 36 hole final that began and 7:30 in the morning and concluded at 4:30 in the afternoon.

The 16 year old Yang says it was a great match in the
final. And for most of the week she says she was on top of her game.

And Yang says she was pleasantly surprised by the Powder Horn and the playing conditions all week.

The final match was all square going into the afternoon 18 Alex Stewart who will play golf at CU this fall says she stumbled early in the second 18 and it was tough to stay in the match.

Powder Horn Head Professional Jeff Rafferty says they had a great week hosting the Trans-national.

And he says it was a real treat for locals to get a chance to watch some great golf.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - Cheyenne Post 6 won the state "AA" legion title beating Gillette in the title game 14-4 and now head to Billings for the start of the Northwest regional tournament.

Post 6 will open the tournament against Bellingham, Washington Thursday afternoon.

BOOSTER CLUB GOLF - The Sheridan high school booster club will host their annual fund raising golf tournament at the Powder Horn Saturday. Call the powder horn to sign up your teams.

HOLY NAME GOLF - The Holy Name school fundraising golf tournament will be Saturday, as well the four person team scramble will be played at Kendrick golf course get teams together and enter at Kendrick.

LITTLE GUY FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Recreation District is holding Little Guy football registration this week. Sign-ups will take place at the Rec office in Thorne-Rider park from 8:00 to 5:00 daily through Friday.
