Trooper Baseball Back on the Road / Rockies Fall Against the Jays / WYO Rodeo Prep Continues

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers take a 27-18 record on the road for more tournament action starting tomorrow in Cheyenne.

They open the tournament tomorrow against Casper and the Colorado catalyst academy from Golden, Colorado. Friday's games will be against a team Lubbock,Texas and Cheyenne Post 6 the tournament runs through Sunday.

SHERIDAN JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets will play at home Saturday afternoon with a double header against Cody.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies and Toronto got a late start last night due to weather and the Blue Jays won a Coors field slugfest here's Jack Corrigan with the wrap up. You can hear today's game live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

RODEO - 2016 Sheridan WYO rodeo week is this than two weeks away we continue our conversation today with WYO rodeo committee member Zane Garstad.

The Sheridan county fairgrounds provides a great venue for the rodeo and Sheridan county citizens are a big part of making all visitors feel welcome when they come to town.

Garstad says one thing the board has always wanted to get done is make WYO rodeo week a destination for visitors every year and through all the hard work of the board and people associated with the entire week of rodeo and activities made it happen.

Finally today the WYO rodeo board will host and ERA rodeo Labor day weekend the one performance event is an official stop on the new Elite Rodeo Tour and Garstad says for the good of the sport of rodeo committee's and fans need to embrace all levels of the sport.

Steer roping slack begins Tuesday July 2th at 7:00 am and the first performance of the 2016 WYO will be Wednesday night July 13th at 7:00.
