Troopers drop opener in Cheyenne / Rockies fall at D-Backs / 2015 WYO Rodeo week opens Monday

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers dropped their opening game at a tournament in Cheyenne Thursday dropping and 8-2 decision to Cheyenne Post 6.

Play continues this afternoon with a game against a team from Lubbock , Texas, Head coach Ben Phillips' mantra all season long has been getting quality starts on the mound.

Tomorrow they will play two games with teams from Denver and will close out the weekend with one game Sunday.

The Troops play at home Monday when they host a double header with Cody the first game will start at 5:00.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost at Arizona 8-1, you can hear game two of the series in Arizona tonight live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio broadcast time is 7:05.

WYO RODEO WEEK - Sheridan WYO rodeo week begins Monday. events at the fairgrounds start Tuesday morning at 7:00 with three rounds of steer roping. The first of four performances starts Wednesday night at 7:00.

WYO rodeo committee President Zane Garstad says it's just a great time for the entire community to come together to host the biggest week of the year in Sheridan county.

SHS BOOSTER CLUB GOLF - The Sheridan high school booster club will host their fund raising golf tournament next Sunday to close out rodeo week.
