Troopers hope to start season this weekend / Change of venue for Bronc soccer / Rockies drop another to the Bucs

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are scheduled to open their season this weekend with games set for Saturday and Sunday but wet weather conditions make that unlikely as of today.

We caught up with the Troopers last night as they worked out in the indoor facility Head coach Ben Phillips says they've had a few opportunities to get out on the field at Thorne-Rider stadium and he's liked what he has seen so far.

He said the players have taken the weather in stride and continue to do a good job of preparing themselves to start the season.

And at least they do have the indoor opportunity to at least hit and throw.

If they do play Saturday they host Rapid City Post 22 the double header is scheduled to start at 1:00.

Sunday the Billings Scarlets and Spearfish, South Dakota are scheduled to come in for a day of baseball game times are set for noon, 2:30 and 5:00

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams open the second round of conference play begins this week with Laramie and Cheyenne South,

Because of the poor weather outlook for the weekend the Broncs will play both Laramie and Cheyenne South at the University of Wyoming Indoor practice facility game times will be 3:00 tomorrow afternoon against Laramie and Saturday morning at 9:00 against Cheyenne South.

The Lady Broncs host the games with Laramie tomorrow at 4:00 for the JV's and 6:00 for the varsity.

The games Saturday morning with South will be played at Big Horn high school at 8:00 and 10:00 the reason for change of venue is because the Sheridan junior high is hosting a track meet at Sheridan high school.
