TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers split Wednesday night's double header with Casper the Troops took the opener 8-0 and dropped game two 3-1.

In the first game the troops played great behind the outstanding pitching of Jeff Shanor, he kept the Oilers off balance and went the distance he only gave up three hits, struck out five and walked two, Head coach Ben Phillips.

They jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings and were able to get base runners and put a lot of pressure on Casper's defense and kept building on the lead.

And defensively the Troops were solid Phillips says that has been one of the strengths of this year's squad.
