Troopers Split two in Gillette / Jets Host State "B"Baseball / Rockies v Astros Tonight

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers split road games in Gillette Monday night dropping the first game 5-0 and coming back to take the nightcap 8-7 the Troops close out the regular season at Post 6 in Cheyenne tonight the state double "AA" tournament starts July 30 in Cheyenne.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets have a number one seed as they host the state "B" tournament this week at Thorne-Rider stadium.

Play begins tomorrow with the Jets playing at 6:30 against Laramie, other first day games have Gillette and Rock Springs playing at 11:00 am followed by Douglas and Riverton at 1:30 and Cody and Evanston at 4:00.

Sheridan American legion baseball General Manager Mike McCafferty says it's great to have the state "B" tournament in town this week.

And he says Wyoming American legion baseball likes to have Thorne-Rider stadium host these season culminating tournaments.

As the season gets ready to wrap up over the next couple of weeks McCafferty says the Sheridan American legion baseball program has had a very good summer.

SRD - The Sheridan Recreation District has opened registration for little guy football and adult flag football sign ups as well as registration for youth cross country all three programs start in august

Friday is the next "Fresh Air Friday" outdoor day for kids you can get signed up today spots are limited.
