Troopers win two in Cheyenne / Rockies open a series in LA / SHS booster club golf tournament is July 17th

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers opened a tournament in Cheyenne yesterday in the first game against Casper they beat the Oilers for the 4th straight time winning 14-4 they came back with a 1-0 win over Colorado Catalyst.

Today's games will be against a team Lubbock,Texas and Cheyenne Post 6 the tournament runs through Sunday.

The Troopers are eleven games over .500 at 29-18 and with four weeks left until the state tournament begins Head coach Ben Phillips says the Troops right now are in mid season form and playing well.

And he says over these next few weeks he would like to see all the pitchers really get the command of their pitches dialed in.

Next home games for the Troopers will be Tuesday when they host two with Gillette starting at 5:00.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets will play at home tomorrow afternoon with a double header against Cody.

LADY GENERALS VOLLEYBALL CAMP - The Sheridan college Lady Generals volleyball team will host a one day high school developmental camp next month. The camp will run one day with two sessions on July 28th the two hour sessions will start at 10:30 in the morning and 1:30 in the afternoon to find out complete details go to the Sheridan college athletics website scgenerals.com.

SHS BOOSTER CLUB - The Sheridan high school booster club will host their fund raising golf tournament in a couple of weeks and have started taking registration Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says they used to host the tournament in August but since they moved the tournament to July they've seen better participation.

The tournament will be played Sunday July 17th at the Powder Horn
