Troops take 3 out of 5 in Cheyenne, host Cody tonight / The 85th WYO Rodeo Kicks off / Rockies beat D-backs

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers went 3-2 at a tournament in Cheyenne play wrapped up yesterday with a Trooper victory.

They lost the opener to Cheyenne post 6 Thursday 8-2, they beat Lubbock, Texas Friday 14-4. They split two Saturday the beat Colorado Catalyst 4-1 and lost to the Colorado Bandits 11-1 and closed out the event yesterday beating the Cheyenne Hawks 12-6.

They play at home this evening hosting a double header with Cody the first game will start at 5:00. tomorrow they will travel to play two at Wheatland and Saturday the Troops will have their traditional rodeo weekend alumni game at Thorne-Rider stadium starting at noon

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies beat Arizona 6-4 Sunday. The Rockies are off today and will play two and home with the LA Angels starting tomorrow night you can hear the game live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio broadcast time is 6:05.

85TH SHERIDAN WYO RODEO - Sheridan WYO rodeo week begins today with the WYO rodeo royalty contestants in action at the fairgrounds and the craft brothers will have their wild and wooly show at the WYO theater.

Steer roping slack starts tomorrow morning at 7:00. The first performance starts Wednesday night at 7:00.

WYO rodeo committee Vice President Nick Siddle talks about the big day this week as Friday is jammed pack with fun for the entire community.

Committee President Zane Garstad says the week will finish Saturday another big evening of great action the the fairgrounds.

The week closes out Sunday with an afternoon of polo and relaxation at the Big Horn Equestrian Center starting at 1:00
