GENERALS AND LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan College basketball teams have home games Friday and Saturday. Both teams got back into practice last weekend. Lady Generals' coach Frank McCarthy was pleased with the players' workouts.

They play Central and Western Wyoming Friday and Saturday and are looking forward to getting back on the court.

The Generals have also been getting up and down the court a lot this week -- head coach Steve Smiley. They are also looking forward to playing the Rustlers and Spartans this weekend.

Friday night's games with Central Wyoming will be played at 5:30 and 7:30. Saturday the Western Wyoming games will go at 3:00 and 5:00.

SHERIDAN BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestling dual with Kelly Walsh schedule for Friday has been postponed due to illness within the Trojan's team. The dual has been re-scheduled for January 21st at Sheridan High School.

BRONC SWIMMING AND DIVING - The Bronc swimmers and divers host a “Double” dual with Worland and Gillette tomorrow at the Sheridan Junior High pool. Action gets underway at 4:00.

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL - In basketball action this week, the Broncs and Lady Broncs play Star Valley tomorrow night in Riverton. Games are set for 6 and 7:30, and will be broadcast live on AM 1410 KWYO and 95.9 FM. Games Friday against Riverton will be played at 6:00 and 7:30; the games Saturday with Evanston will go at 3:00 and 4:30 -- those games can also be heard on KWYO and 95.9 FM.

RAMS AND LADY RAMS BASKETBALL - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams host games with Wright Friday at 5:30 and 7:00; both teams play at Moorcroft Saturday.

EAGLES AND LADY EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles play at Moorcroft Friday. On Saturday, the Lady Eagles play at Lovell while the Eagles play at home against the Bulldogs.

UW BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys open Mountain West Conference play at the “AA” tonight against Colorado State. You can hear the game on AM 1410 KWYO and 95.9 FM. Broadcast time is at 5:30 with the tip at 6:00.

NFL - Former Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan signed a 5-year deal to become the next head coach of the Washington Redskins yesterday. The team will make a formal announcement at a news conference today.

LOCAL WII BOWLING - Residents of Heritage Towers will compete in a Wii bowling event Friday against Sheridan Fire and Rescue. This is an annual event which was won by Heritage Towers last year. This year's event will be held at Fort McKenzie Friday starting at 12:30.
