SHS VOLLEYBALL - Sheridan High School will host the first Border War Volleyball Tournament Saturday. Seven teams will join the Lady Broncs, Gillette along with the Casper schools will be in Sheridan to play Round Robin matches against four from Montana. Billings schools don't normally travel to Wyoming to play, but Sheridan High School Athletic Director Don Julian says they got an opening and jumped on it. The Lady Broncs and Gillette will play at Sheridan High School, and the Casper schools will play at the Junior High. Match times will be at 11, 12:30, 3 and 4:30 pm.

SC BASKETBALL - The 2009 / 2010 basketball season officially opens tomorrow as the Sheridan College Generals and Lady Generals begin practice. Play opens the first weekend in November. The home schedule will be highlighted by three home tournaments for the Lady Generals. The Generals have 17 home dates this season, which includes the first-ever season for the new Gillette College teams.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The latest Wyoming High School Football Rankings are out. As expected, the Sheridan Broncs are the new #1 in Class 4-A. The Broncs are a unanimous selection this week, with Gillette falling to 2nd. Green River is up one spot to 3rd, Cheyenne Central fell to 4th and Casper Kelly Walsh dropped to 5th.

The Broncs host Laramie Friday night for the 2009 Homecoming Game. We will have the game for you live on AM 1410 KWYO. The First Federal Pre-game Show will start at 6:30 with kickoff at 7 o'clock. A Homecoming community tailgate party will start at 5 o'clock Friday at Homer Scott Stadium. U.S. Bank will give out footballs to the first 150 kids, plus there will be other ,lots of food, fun and football.

*NOTE!!! Don Julian announced Tuesday the 2009 Homecoming Dance will be held at Sheridan High School Saturday night to give students traveling for other activities Friday a chance to participate!

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams will look to bounce back from their loss last Friday. This week the Rams play at Thermopolis; kickoff is scheduled for 7 pm.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles will try for their first win of the season Friday afternoon with a home game against Wright. That game will be the first game of our Friday football double-header on AM 1410 KWYO. Ron Richter will have the Eagles play-by-play; broadcast time Friday will be at 1:45 with the First Federal Pre-game Show, and kick-off is at 2 o'clock.

WOLVES FOOTBALL - The NSI Wolves have a home game on their schedule, but will play at a neutral site Saturday against Southeast. The teams will meet in Casper to play it Saturday at 3 o'clock.

UW - The Wyoming Cowboys are 2-2 overall and 1-0 in Mountain West Conference play. The Pokes will play on the road at Florida Atlantic University Saturday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The game can be heard live on AM 1410 KWYO. Cowboy pre-game will start at 1 o'clock with kick-off at 2 o'clock.

NFL - The Denver Broncos will play at home Sunday afternoon against Dallas. Broadcast time is 1 pm with kick-off at 2:15 on AM 1410 KWYO.

MLB - The Colorado Rockies blew a late lead against Milwaukee last night, but came back in the 11th Inning to win it with one runner on base. Pinch hitter Chris Ianetta stepped into the batters box and hit a 2-run walk-off homer. The win extends the Rockies wild card lead to three games over Atlanta. The Braves got beaten by Florida last night. The Rockies close out their series with Milwaukee this afternoon.
