Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams started league play against the Gillette schools. The Lady Broncs dropped both games the Broncs beat Thunder Basin in OT and blew out Campbell county on the road Saturday.

Head coach Jeff Martini says sweeping the Gillette school was a great way to start conference play.

Making baskets from the perimeter has been tough for the Broncs starting the season but they have seen some light in the last two weeks including Carter Dubberley hitting five huge three point buckets over the weekend.

And Martini says they will see a tough, physical Natrona county team Friday night.

The Broncs and Lady Broncs host more co9nference action Friday when they host the Natrona Fillies and Mustangs game times are 5:30 and 7:00 you can hear both games on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

EAGLES / LADY EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles split their weekend games the Lady E dropped both games against Greybull and Riverside while the Eagles won both.

RAMS / LADY RAMS BASKETBALL - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams had the same kind of weekend the Lady Rams dropped two games to Moorcroft and Sundance while the Rams were victorious in both.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals lost at home to Central Wyoming 81-73 they will join the Lady Generals playing at Eastern Wyoming Wednesday and hosting Western Wyoming Saturday at 2:00 and 4:00.

UW BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys play tomorrow night at home against Utah state it’s another late night game pregame at 8:30 with the tip at 9:00 live on KWYO and 106.9 FM. The Cowgirls play Wednesday at Utah state.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers finished 4th at the big Moorcroft invitational tournament. Champions included Landon Wood, Rudy Osborne, Hunter Goodwin and Reese Osborne they had two second place finishes with Colson Coon and Brock Steel.

HAWKS JUNIOR HOCKEY - The Sheridan Junior Hawks play at the M&M center this week against the Yellowstone Quake from Cody they drop the puck Friday night at 7:30 and Saturday at 7:00.
