Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

STATE TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams completed their season Saturday at the state championships.

The Lady Broncs finished 4th the Broncs were 9th, the Lady Broncs Number two Doubles team of Libby Standish and Lennon Dregoiw finished 2nd and for the broncs Ethan Kutz won the number two singles consolation bracket.

SWIMMING / DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers took first place in their own invitational Saturday on Friday they went unbeaten in the Sheridan invite duals.

CROSS COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams were in Casper where the Lady Broncs got their first team victory of the season the Broncs finished 3rd. They have a meet Saturday at the Douglas invitational.

VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team went 2-3 at the Casper invitational they get back into conference play this week Thursday night they play at Campbell county and host the Border war matches Saturday with the three big schools from Billings.

The Big Horn Lady Rams went 0-4 at the Casper invite they host matches with Wright and Upton this week.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles won at Lovell 3-0 they host Utpon Thursday and play at Moorcroft Friday.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs beat Casper Kelly Walsh 30-7 and now are the only team in 4-A football without a loss.

It was a good victory in a hard fought physical game, Head coach Don Julian.

The Broncs host winless Cheyenne South Friday night and Julian says the Broncs will be heavy favorites but they must always respect their opponent and respect the game.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams got a big win at Niobrara county in Lusk after an overtime loss the week before, the Rams shut out the Tigers 38-0 they are back at home Friday against Wright.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles lost at number one ranked Pine Bluffs 51-6 this week the Eagles play Saturday against the Sheridan Bronc JV's at Sheridan high school kickoff is set for 10:00.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys opened conference play with a 28-21 overtime win against Hawaii.

The Pokes host Texas state Saturday afternoon before two MWC games on the road at Utah state and Boise state.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos lost at Buffalo Sunday 26-16, the Broncos host the Oakland Raiders Sunday afternoon.
