Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

SHS HOOPS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams played well on the first weekend of the season.

The Lady Broncs went 1-3 in the Casper tournament the Broncs went 3-1

The Lady Broncs got their first win against Jackson Saturday Head coach Larry Ligocki says it's just what they needed Saturday.

And over through the four games the Lady Broncs played hard and the defensive effort was really good.

Friday night the Lady Broncs host Billings Senior the varsity game will tip off at 7:30.

The Broncs one loss on the weekend was a three pointer against Evanston they had victories against Rock Springs, Jackson and Natrona county.

Head coach Jeff Martini said their final game with Natrona county was a very good win.

We did find out the Broncs can score points top to bottom in the line up Tristan Bower scored in double figures in all four games including 35 Friday night against Evanston and Martini says the Broncs did a nice job of sharing the ball all weekend.

As they get back into practice this week martini says they one area to clean up before they go to Billings Saturday.

BH HOOPS - The Big Horn basketball teams played three games each at tournaments Friday and Saturday the Lady Rams went 2-1 the Rams went 1-2.

TR HOOPS - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles both dropped games with Rocky Mountain and Lovell.

A/C HOOPS - The Arvada / Clearmont teams played at a tournament in Upton the Lady Panthers went 1-2 while the Panthers were 0-3.

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and the Lady Generals played in Williston, North Dakota on the weekend the Lady Generals dropped two games while the Generals ran their record to 13-1 with two more wins.

Both teams end the first half of the season Friday night at home hosting games with Little Big Horn CC games in the Hoffman dome will be at 5:00 and 7:00.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers finished 10th at the Gillette relays Saturday they have a dual in Buffalo tomorrow and more action in Casper Friday.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers competed at the Rapid City invite they had one champion that was Reese Osborne he took the title at 113 pounds, Friday the Broncs open up at the Worland dual tournament.

COWBOY HOOPS - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys beat Pacific university 86-72 Saturday they host Eastern Washington tomorrow night you can hear the game live on KWYO and 106.9 FM pregame at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00.

COWGIRL HOOPS - The Cowgirls won their game at Idaho yesterday 70-64 they play their next game at home tomorrow at 4:00 against Colorado Christian.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos shut out the New York Jets 23-0 Sunday to end their eight game losing streak next up is a game Thursday night at Indianapolis you can hear it live on KWYO and 106.9 FM pregame at 4:05 with kickoff at 6:25.
