BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Broncs swept two games over the weekend beat Cheyenne Central 4-0 and finishing up the weekend beating Cheyenne East 1-0 Saturday.

Head coach Kevin Riser says to stay in the race for the conference title and an automatic bid into the state tournament they needed both victories.

Weather conditions were brutal for both games but Riser says the Broncs fought through the wind and rain to pick up both games.

Now they face Gillette in the regular season finale at home Friday and they expect a good match up with both teams having a lot on the line.

And since a couple of early losses in conference play the Broncs have 6 wins and 1 tie and are playing well
right now.

The Lady Broncs tied both games on the road in Cheyenne and with those results have wrapped up the regular season conference title.

This week they close out the regular season with the both teams hosting a double header with Gillette Friday the boys match will be at 4:00 and the girls at 6:00.

TRACK AND FIELD - The Wyoming track classic will be run in Casper today after high winds wiped out the competition last Friday.

Eight Sheridan county athletes will compete with seven from Sheridan high school and one from Tongue River.

Nate Plymell competes for Tongue River today he will compete in two events the 300 meter hurdles and the pole vault.

For the Lady Broncs Katie Rotellini will run in the 800 meters, Marrisa Hegy will compete in the 1600 meters and Shayla Christensen will compete in the shot put.

For the Broncs Kyle Dietsche will run in the 800 meters, Chris Garber in the 1600 meters, Micheal Rotellini in the 3200 meters and Taylor Craft will compete in the high jump.

Both teams did compete in Casper at Kelly Walsh high school Saturday those results are posted on the sports page at Sheridanmedia.com

GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers have tournaments this week Friday in Laramie and Saturday in Cody, they will also host their own invitational next Tuesday.

The conference championships will end the spring season starting May 14th in Casper, the conference tournament in a two day event.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost 6-5 to the New York Mets Sunday they open a another home series tonight against the LA Dodgers you can hear the first game of the series live starting at 6:05 on Sports / Talk 87.7 FM.
