WYO Steer Roping Results / Rockies Drop Game With D-Backs / Troopers Host two Friday

WYO RODEO - Three rounds of steer roping were held Tuesday during the first slack performance of the Sheridan WYO rodeo.

Chris Glover from Keenesburg, Colorado got the top time in the first go with a time 13.1, Vin Fisher Jr. from Andrews, Texas took the second go in a time of 10.5 and Jason Evans from Glen Rose, Texas took the third go in a time of 10.2.

Slack continues today beginning at 9:00 am and the first performance of the 2018 WYO rodeo starts tonight at 7:00.

The WYO carnival will open for the week this evening, Parade Friday begins with the traditional Boy Scouts pancake breakfast at 6:00 am followed by the Spurs and Sneakers fun run the Bed Races and ends with the WYO rodeo parade at 10:00.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will play at home Friday afternoon they host a doubleheader with the Billings Scarlets game one will start at 1:00.

Saturday is Trooper alumni day at Thorne-Rider stadium the annual Trooper alumni game will start at noon.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies dropped the opening game of a home series with Arizona last night, Jack Corrigan has the game wrap up. You can hear tonight's game live on Fox Sports radio 87.7 FM.

SHS BOOSTER CLUB GOLF - The Sheridan high school booster club golf tournament is Sunday at the Powder Horn. It's a four person team scramble with a shotgun start at 1:00 dinner follows the tournament get your teams together and contact the Powder Horn to register.

KENDRICK CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP - Kendrick golf course will host the annual club championship tournament at the end of the month. The club championship will be held July 28th and 29th tee times will be between 8 and 10 am.

The entry fee is 50 dollars and they will also have a junior division for 9 to 13 year olds.

YOUTH SPORTS CAMPS - Next week is sports camp week in Sheridan the Sheridan Broncs will host their annual Little Bronc football camp next week and Sheridan college Women's basketball coach Ryan Davis will host a high school girls elite camp.

The Little Bronc football camp will go Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the Little Broncs will go each evening from 5 to 6 pm with the high school team going from 6 to 8 pm they will take walk up registration before the camp opens Monday.

The Elite girls basketball camp will run two days next week Monday and Tuesday for those high school players that want to play in college to find out more about playing at that next level more information can be found on the website scgenerals.com.
